This year has been another great year in the books! It literally felt like it flew by in a blink of an eye. Especially now that I have a toddler it seems like all the days mesh together. 2017 certainly had it's challenges, but also really rewarding moments. I feel like I have learned so much about myself as a mom. And if there are couple words that stick out for me they would be patience and self acceptance. I thought I have always been a patient person but I think having a toddler really tests your limits. I’ve tried really hard to not be so hard on myself to be perfect. Mark Twain once said, "Continuous improvement is better than delayed perfection." And sometimes when I hit a bump in the road or going through a tough moment I try and remind myself that I’m doing the best that I know how as a mom, wife, friend, daughter, sister, etc.
This year we found some time to getaway and travel to some of our favorite places. We went on a couple ski trips to Tahoe and Sun Valley. And took a couple of road trips down the coast to San Luis Obispo and camped in Big Sur for the first time.
Joel and I took a mini trip to Chicago, which was so refreshing to be able to experience a new city together without having a kid in tow. I’m hoping we can travel somewhere new together in 2018!
Hands down one of my best girl vacations I have ever been on was Cabo San Lucas for sister-in-law, Michelle's, bachelorette party. We had an amazing house and a great group of women that I feel so lucky to call some of my best friends.
Below I highlighted some of my top highlights/memories from each month in 2017. Thanks for following along on my journey and hope you have a Happy New Year!
